Thank goodness. We have finished processing cod. The stench was really beginning to burn my nasals. And I was starting to doubt I could ever enjoy a plate of fish n’ chips again. I think I can – in time.
But, the season is not over yet. We head north in the morning to Togiak Bay to process herring, which actually doesn’t involve processing. We just put them whole into pans, freeze them and bag them. No smell! (I think.)
